Jejak Seribu Community gives education about Betawi culture to 60 elementary and junior high school students in Untung Jawa Island at Untung Jawa Amiterdam Children-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RTPRA), South Thousand Islands, Monday (6/24).

This education is a part of Thousand Islands events to celebrate Jakarta's 492nd Anniversary. In this activity, Jejak Seribu Community collaborates with Betawi Culture Agency (LKB) to teach those students how to dance Betawi dances, make batik, and know more about Betawi traditions and Jakarta by watching films.
Tourism Agency Intensifies Promotion in Foreign Countries"We want students to love Betawi cultures more," said Sam Alamsyah, representative of Jejak Seribu Community on the location.
Thousand Islands Regent, Husein Murad who was also present to see the activity said to support literacy education activities in Thousand Islands.
"It is a very positive activity. We fully support activities carried out by young people in Thousand Islands which contribute to Betawi culture preservation," he asserted.
